Millie McGuire is a young singer from Chapel Hill, N.C., who now lives in Nashville. She was born into a music-loving family—a father who sings and plays guitar in a local band and sisters who also enjoy singing in public. She performed for the first time in front of a live audience at age 5. “I still remember the heat from the stage lights, the look of the smiling crowd, the rush from being on stage, and I knew it was what I wanted to do,” she says.
Her first full album, Yours, will be released in early 2020. Meanwhile, the world premiere video for her song “There’s a Place” captures the Muscle Shoals-y swaggering vibe of the tune, which was recorded and sung live for the album at Mitch Easter’s Fidelitorium. It was filmed by Michael Harrison Sparks in Chapel Hill.
DittyTV is happy to offer this world premiere video for this artist to keep an eye on in the future. Enjoy the video here, and then tune into the network on Wednesday night, Dec. 4, at 11/10c to catch the DittyTV Debut.
