“In the making of the video, I realized that I was going further with my story,” says Tawny Ellis about “Deep End of Love.” “The song is about addiction to love, to old patterns, to a person, maybe drugs and drinking too much, but more about the addiction we have to our ideals about love even when they become destructive. Seems no matter what we go through we are still hopeful about getting it right one day.”
Ellis is a singer, songwriter, sculptor, actress, and producer, with this song from her upcoming album Love Life. Ellis went on to say, “This is a true story about my first marriage, and I really wanted to finally tell this story. I thought I would die, as many do, when a marriage ends because it hurts so much. The song was written on my omnichord and Ted Russell Kamp helped me bring this one into focus while giving the song some hope within the story. I think it’s incredibly universal for both sexes actually.”
DittyTV is happy to present the world premiere of “Deep End of Love” by Tawny Ellis here, and then we invite you to tune in to The Curve on Wednesday, June 10, at 11/10c for the DittyTV Debut.
