Tab Benoit’s Whiskey Bayou Records has just released an impressively reimagined acoustic version of Alastair Greene’s “Bayou Mile,” a song from Greene’s recent album The New World Blues. The album has garnered rave reviews, debuting at #3 on Billboard, climbing major radio charts, and getting heavy airplay on SiriusXM Radio.
“Bayou Mile was the first song I fully co-wrote with Tab Benoit for my album The New World Blues,” says California native Alastair Greene. “It was written on acoustic guitar, so when the label wanted to do an acoustic version, I thought it was apropos. This [performance] was recorded live on the first take.”
Greene grew up in Santa Barbara influenced by his parents’ diverse musical tastes. He spent two years at Berklee College of Music on a scholarship before striking out to solidify his rock and blues credentials. Those credentials now include eight years of international touring on guitar and vocals with the Alan Parsons Project, major dates with Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, plus many guest appearances with such luminaries as Eric Burdon, Walter Trout, Coco Montoya, Savoy Brown, and Debbie Davies.
DittyTV is proud to offer the World Premiere of “Bayou Mile,” the acoustic live performance video from Alastair Greene.
