TRIBES | Airs Today @ 6PM/CDT (Universal Time: UTC -5) | STRUM TOGETHER, RIGHT NOW
TRIBES: This community-based show features music videos from varying groups, organizations, labels, etc., otherwise known as a ‘tribe.’ Tribes’ flexibility allows for quite a wide range of content programming. One episode might feature all music from Fat Possum Records, while the next episode might feature all female trios. It can be as specific and focused as needed. This show is great for record labels to sponsor in order to gain exposure, or for an association to sponsor new artists that they work with, e.g. Tribes: Rounder Hour, Tribes: Folk Alliance International, Tribes: What’s Hot Bloodshot?

Liz Reese is a stand-up comedian, attempted ukulele master and a rajun Cajun. She originally hails from the famed Muscle Shoals, AL, home of Fame Recording Studios and the famous Muscle Shoals sound. Growing up on the Tennessee River, it wasn’t until she was in high school that it occurred to her that not everybody’s parents were connected to a famous band. She is also an adamant supporter of Single Lock Records, the Shoals based label founded by former Civil Wars member, John Paul White. When she isn’t fan-girling over Ryan Bingham or Ben Harper, she enjoys traveling. In addition to hosting Americana Weekly and Tribes on DittyTV, Liz also sings with the Memphis Symphony Chorus.

Rhythm Roots | Airs Today @ 7PM/CDT (Universal Time: UTC -5) | RETRO BOUND TO CLASSIC SOUNDS
Rhythm Roots: Nostalgia and Tradition just walked in and can’t decide if they like the music enough to stay. Rhythm Roots is a new spin on the hybrid-genres between rhythm and blues and country music. City life meets country life, electric meets acoustic, whisky meets glass, and that’s just the first music video. Rhythm roots is migratory music, bringing the rural to the main stage.
With a big smile and wild dreadlocks, Bing Futch kicks off every Rhythm Roots show with a buoyant energy that is inviting and energizing. As a player of the Appalachian mountain dulcimer, Native American flute, and ukulele, he definitely navigates the varied waters of traditional and modern Americana with passion, and a genuinely huge heart for sharing music with an audience.

Band of Lovers, 1997 Dodge Van
Contact BOL at email@example.com On the web: http://bandoflovers.net
After two years on tour logging over 50,000 miles and twenty-eight states, Band of Lovers calls the road their home. Their sound is a fresh, acoustic blend of pop-inspired americana and something all their own, and their chemistry is easily recognized- “the harmonies and give and take… are sublime, passionate and filled with personality,” wrote Kerriann Curtis, and Christian Carvajal said of their debut single release, “..few songs are sweeter than Tennessee.” With a modern take on folk sound and pop structure, their songs draw inspiration from the stories and landscapes of North America. “Band of Lovers came on stage with a poignant, energetic thrum of folksy songs of love and freedom, causing chorus after chorus of applause!” signed one audience member, and the energy keeps on growing. After releasing and touring with their debut album, ‘the Coast’ since February 2015, and adding drummer/vocalist Liliana Urbain to the band, they’re ready to head back to the studio and will be recording their follow-up album in Woodstock, NY this summer.
